Contract value: c£15m   |   Duration: >5 years

The project encompasses technically challenging site-wide infrastructure works, that include a Section 278 package and the construction of up to 6,500m² of private carriageway built to adoptable standards.  These works provide access to multiple land parcels that will accommodate 272 new private and affordable homes, for which Tamdown will also complete associated substructure works, including hard and soft  landscaping.

The offsite works were a priority and include the Section 278 package, creating a new bellmouth access and associated footpaths to ensure safe and convenient access for vehicles and  pedestrians. Onsite infrastructure works are critical to enabling property access and supporting the timely commencement of homebuilding activities by Tamdown and Vistry. Additionally, the project incorporates a complex Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) strategy, alongside earthworks and remediation measures, ensuring the development meets all requirements for future residents.

Since commencing in April 2025, Tamdown has achieved significant milestones:

  • Section 278 works completed within programmed
    timescales.
  • Over 3,000m² of site-wide infrastructure completed.
  • More than 112 plot substructures handed over, enabling Vistry to progress with superstructure construction.
  • Installation of 13 attenuation tanks to support the SUDS strategy across the development.

Our teams continue to deliver earthworks, highways, drainage systems, plot works, and landscaping. Through an agile workforce and strong collaboration, we are maintaining programme and delivering a high-quality product and service.

“Having Tamdown as a partner on our development has ensured the smooth running of our project; their attention to detail and standard of workmanship have ensured we continue to deliver quality on time to our customers and above and beyond the NHBC standards."
